We stayed at Olif for a few nights over the Christmas period and what can I say, it was a fantastic stay. The staff were extremely welcoming, the rooms spotless, great amenities were offered in the room and everything was easily within walking distance. Very glad we were able to stay here.
I had the most delightful evening at this tapas gem! From the cozy ambiance to the impeccable service, every detail was perfect. The menu boasted a mouthwatering array of small plates that were bursting with flavor and creativity. The intimate setting lent itself to a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere, making it an ideal spot for a close family meal. 11/11/23. Meal only with friends, but judging by the food, I'm happy to give the rooms a 5 score as well. Easy to find in the town of Betys-y-coed, opposite the river and impressive waterfall nearby.
Food was delicious, local and damned tasty. The tapas dishes were particularly impressive. Sharing boards available in various guises. Staff were friendly and exuded a relaxed atmosphere. I always have confidence in a restaurant when I can see the kitchen through the service window, and this was no exception. If I'm visiting the area again, Olif will be deserving of a return visit. Recommended.
They really thought of everything -- the room was cozy and comfortable. Wonderful tea, chocolates and coffee in the room. The breakfast was excellent - best of our 21 day trip! Everything at breakfast was locally sourced and well prepared. Our room faced the road but it was not loud and we could hear the river at night.
Absolutely incredible food - every single thing we had was brilliant. The beef and cod bites were particular favourites but I honestly couldn’t say anything bad about anything.
Staff were friendly and attentive despite it being very busy.
Only disappointment was that they were out of the eggs but our fault for booking a late table and means we will have to go back to try them!

Olif was amazing. The finest restaurant in Betwys. Service was impeccable. Tapas was delicious. They made our group feel welcome and looked after. Food was out prompt. Could not have chosen a better place to go to. I wish I had gotten photos but we ate the food too quickly.
